The recommended input capacitor value is 1uF to 10uF, depending on the input voltage and output current requirements. A larger capacitor value can help reduce input voltage ripple and improve stability.
The output inductor value depends on the output voltage, output current, and switching frequency. A general rule of thumb is to choose an inductor value that results in a peak-to-peak ripple current of 20-30% of the output current. TI provides an inductor selection guide in the datasheet.
The maximum duty cycle for the UC2843AD is 90%. Exceeding this limit can cause the device to malfunction or overheat.
The UC2843AD has a SYNC pin that allows synchronization with an external clock signal. Connect the external clock signal to the SYNC pin, and ensure the clock frequency is within the recommended range of 100 kHz to 500 kHz.
