The maximum input voltage is 5.5V, as specified in the datasheet. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
To ensure stability, follow the recommended layout and component selection guidelines in the datasheet, and use a sufficient output capacitor (at least 2.2uF) with a low ESR.
The device is rated for operation up to 125°C, but thermal considerations should be made to ensure the junction temperature (TJ) does not exceed 150°C. Use the thermal resistance (RθJA) and power dissipation (PD) calculations to ensure safe operation.
The output voltage is set by the resistor divider network (R1 and R2) connected to the FB pin. Use the formula: Vout = 0.6V x (1 + R2/R1) to calculate the output voltage.
A minimum input capacitance of 1uF is recommended to ensure stability and reduce input voltage ripple.
