The maximum current rating of the TPS2052ADR is 2A per channel, with a total current limit of 4A for both channels combined.
To ensure safe operation in high-temperature environments, ensure that the device is properly heatsinked, and the junction temperature (TJ) does not exceed 150°C. Also, derate the current output accordingly based on the ambient temperature.
The EN (enable) pin is used to enable or disable the output of the TPS2052ADR. When EN is high, the output is enabled, and when EN is low, the output is disabled.
To protect the TPS2052ADR from overvoltage conditions, use a voltage clamp or a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode to limit the input voltage to the recommended maximum rating of 5.5V.
To minimize EMI, use a multi-layer PCB with a solid ground plane, and keep the input and output traces as short as possible. Also, use a common-mode choke or a ferrite bead to filter the output.
