The TMP103HYFFT can operate from -40°C to 125°C, but the accuracy specifications are only guaranteed from -20°C to 100°C.
The TMP103HYFFT has a built-in POR circuit that resets the device when the supply voltage (VCC) falls below 1.5V. To ensure proper operation, ensure that VCC rises monotonically during power-up and avoid drooping or oscillations.
To minimize noise and ensure reliable operation, keep the digital output pins (SDA, SCL, and INT) short and away from high-frequency signals. Use a dedicated ground plane and avoid routing digital signals near the temperature sensor pins.
The TMP103HYFFT does not require calibration, as it is factory-calibrated. However, to achieve optimal accuracy, ensure that the device is operated within the specified temperature range and that the thermal interface between the device and the target is well-designed.
The maximum allowable capacitive load on the digital output pins is 400pF. Exceeding this limit may cause signal integrity issues or even device malfunction.
