The TIL125 can operate from -40°C to 100°C, but the maximum junction temperature is 125°C.
To ensure reliable operation, keep the junction temperature below 125°C, use a heat sink if necessary, and follow proper PCB design and layout guidelines to minimize thermal resistance.
The recommended LED current is 10 mA to 20 mA, but it can be as low as 1 mA for some applications. However, increasing the LED current can improve the CTR (current transfer ratio) and reduce the response time.
Choose a resistor value that limits the LED current to the recommended value, taking into account the supply voltage and the LED's forward voltage drop (typically 1.2 V to 1.4 V).
The minimum CTR is 20% at IF = 10 mA, but it can be as high as 100% or more depending on the specific device and operating conditions.
