A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the component away from heat sources and ensure good airflow.
Use a heat sink, ensure good airflow, and consider derating the output current. Also, ensure the device is soldered correctly to the PCB to minimize thermal resistance.
A low-ESR ceramic capacitor (e.g., X5R or X7R) with a value of 10-22uF is recommended. The capacitor should be placed close to the VIN pin.
Use a shielded inductor, keep the switching node (SW) away from sensitive nodes, and use a common-mode choke or ferrite bead on the output. Also, ensure good PCB layout and grounding practices.
The maximum allowed voltage on the EN pin is 6V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
