API Delevan recommends a symmetrical layout with a minimum of 10 mils (0.25 mm) spacing between the inductor and other components. A recommended land pattern is available in the API Delevan application note AN-13.
API Delevan recommends using a soldering iron with a temperature of 250°C (482°F) and a solder with a melting point of 180°C (356°F). Apply a small amount of solder to the pad and component lead, and use a gentle touch to avoid damaging the component.
The maximum allowable voltage across the PT1000-2050HM is 50 Vrms. Exceeding this voltage may result in reduced performance, overheating, or even damage to the component.
The PT1000-2050HM is rated for operation up to 125°C (257°F). However, the inductor's performance may degrade at high temperatures, and the core material may experience thermal aging. Consult API Delevan's application notes for guidance on high-temperature operation.
The PT1000-2050HM is designed for frequencies up to 50 kHz. While it may be possible to use it at higher frequencies, the inductor's performance may degrade, and self-resonance may occur. Consult API Delevan's application notes for guidance on high-frequency operation.
