A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Place the device near a thermal pad or a heat sink to improve heat dissipation.
Monitor the input voltage, output voltage, and output current to ensure they are within the specified ranges. Also, ensure the device is operated within the recommended ambient temperature range.
A low-ESR ceramic capacitor with a value of 10uF to 22uF is recommended for the input capacitor. The capacitor should be placed close to the device's input pins.
The output voltage ripple can be calculated using the formula: ΔVout = (Iout * Rl) / (fsw * Cout), where Iout is the output current, Rl is the inductor resistance, fsw is the switching frequency, and Cout is the output capacitor value.
A shielded inductor with a value of 1uH to 4.7uH is recommended. The inductor should have a high saturation current rating and low DC resistance.
