The L4972AD can handle input voltages up to 40V, but it's recommended to keep it below 35V for reliable operation.
Choose an output capacitor with a value between 10uF to 100uF, and a voltage rating of at least 1.5 times the output voltage. A low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) capacitor is recommended for stability.
The L4972AD can operate with input voltages as low as 7V, but the output voltage regulation may not be guaranteed below 8V.
The L4972AD is rated for operation up to 150°C, but the maximum junction temperature should not exceed 125°C for reliable operation. Derate the output current accordingly for high-temperature operation.
Ensure the output capacitor is properly sized, and the input capacitor is at least 1uF. Also, keep the feedback loop components (R1, R2, and C2) close to the IC and use a low-ESR output capacitor.
