The maximum voltage rating of the IR2110PBF is 500V, but it can be used in applications up to 600V with proper design and layout considerations.
The bootstrap capacitor should be selected based on the switching frequency, output current, and voltage rating. A general rule of thumb is to use a capacitor with a value between 10nF to 100nF, and a voltage rating of at least 2x the maximum voltage of the high-side driver.
The VCC pin is used to power the internal logic and low-side driver of the IR2110PBF. It should be connected to a stable voltage source between 4.5V to 15V.
Shoot-through current can be prevented by ensuring that the dead-time between the high-side and low-side drivers is sufficient, and by using a proper gate resistor value. A general rule of thumb is to use a dead-time of at least 100ns and a gate resistor value between 10Ω to 100Ω.
