A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the power supply decoupling capacitors close to the device and use a low-ESR capacitor for the output filter.
Use a high-quality output capacitor with low ESR and a minimum capacitance of 10uF. Ensure the output capacitor is placed close to the device and connected to a low-impedance ground plane.
The maximum input voltage is 28V, but it's recommended to keep it below 24V for optimal performance and reliability.
The device is rated for operation up to 125°C, but it's recommended to derate the output current and input voltage at high temperatures to ensure reliability.
Use an external current-sensing resistor and a fuse or a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor to protect the device from overcurrent and short-circuit conditions.
