A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Ensure a minimum of 1 oz copper thickness and a thermal relief pattern around the device.
Implement a heat sink or thermal interface material, and ensure good airflow around the device. Consider using a thermally-enhanced package or a heat spreader.
Use X7R or X5R ceramic capacitors with a voltage rating of 10% to 20% above the input voltage. For output capacitors, use low-ESR ceramic or polymer capacitors with a voltage rating of 10% to 20% above the output voltage.
Use the feedback resistors (RFBT and RFB) to adjust the output voltage. Calculate the resistor values using the formula provided in the datasheet or use an online calculator.
The maximum input voltage is 28V, but it's recommended to operate within 10% to 90% of the maximum input voltage to ensure reliable operation.
