The BUL381D can operate from -40°C to 150°C, but the maximum junction temperature (TJ) should not exceed 150°C.
To ensure proper biasing, connect the base of the transistor to a voltage divider network that provides a stable voltage reference, and ensure the collector-emitter voltage (VCE) is within the recommended range.
To minimize thermal resistance, use a thermal pad or a heat sink, and ensure the PCB layout allows for good airflow and heat dissipation. A recommended layout is to place the transistor near a heat sink or a thermal pad, and use thermal vias to dissipate heat.
To protect the BUL381D from ESD, use anti-static packaging, handle the device by the body or through an anti-static wrist strap, and ensure the PCB design includes ESD protection circuits, such as TVS diodes or ESD protection arrays.
Store the BUL381D in its original packaging, away from direct sunlight, moisture, and extreme temperatures. Handle the device by the body or through an anti-static wrist strap, and avoid bending or flexing the leads.
