Aimtec recommends a PCB layout with a large copper area connected to the module's thermal pad to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 1 oz copper thickness is recommended, and the copper area should be connected to a solid ground plane to reduce thermal resistance.
Use a voltage regulator or a voltage limiter circuit to ensure the input voltage to the module stays within the recommended range of 10.5V to 15V. Exceeding the maximum input voltage can damage the module.
The AM1S-1215SZ can drive a maximum capacitive load of 10uF. Exceeding this limit can cause the module to oscillate or become unstable.
Use an external overcurrent protection device, such as a fuse or a current limiter, to protect the module from overcurrent conditions. The module does not have built-in overcurrent protection.
Aimtec recommends a soldering temperature of 260°C to 280°C and a soldering time of 3 to 5 seconds. Exceeding these limits can damage the module.
