A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and away from each other to minimize noise and coupling.
Ensure that the output capacitor is properly sized and placed close to the output pin. Also, add a 10nF-100nF capacitor between the VIN and GND pins to filter out noise and prevent oscillations.
Although the datasheet specifies a maximum input voltage of 5.5V, it's recommended to limit the input voltage to 5V to ensure reliable operation and prevent damage to the device.
Use a high-precision voltage reference, such as the TLV7031, and ensure that the output voltage is within the specified range (1.8V to 3.3V). Also, minimize the output capacitor's equivalent series resistance (ESR) to reduce output voltage error.
A 10uF-22uF ceramic capacitor (X5R or X7R dielectric) is recommended for the input capacitor. This value provides a good balance between noise filtering and stability.
